Kirkton Hilly Cycling Loop Route

Hilly loop on mostly quiet roads and lovely views of the Eildons and Ruberslaw

A lovely route starting from the hamlet of Kirkton (on the outskirts of Hawick). This hilly route takes you through small villages of the Scottish Borders on mostly quiet roads. A couple of very big climbs that will get your heart rate going but rewarded with loveky views of the Eildons and Ruberslaw. Be prepared with plenty of food and water as no shops on the route, though you do pass the pub in Boncheter Bridge on your return!

If you know of a great trail around Hawick, why not share it with others by adding it to the Town of 1000 Trails?
