Skelfhill Pen to Tudhope Hill Walking Route

Star Rating Rating:

5 out of 5

Read Reviews

This is an 'out and back' walk from Skelfhill Pen to Tudhope Hill.

Tudhope Hill is located just over 6 miles south of Hawick. This ‘out and back’ walking route from Skelfhill to Tudhope Hill compromises of woodland and farmland. Parking is available at Old Northhouse in the public forestry car park.

There is a steep climb on to Skelfhill Pen then open moorland to Millstone Edge. There is then another steep climb up to Tudhope Hill where you can see views of Teviotdale, and on a clear day, you can see the Solway Firth.

I walked this route on a cold but sunny day. Stunning views from the top, definitely worth a shot.

Do you have a trail to add?

If you know of a great trail around Hawick, why not share it with others by adding it to the Town of 1000 Trails?
