Selkirk is a town located 12 miles north of Hawick. The Peel car park is 5 miles north of Selkirk. From the car park, the track climbs over open hill country on a recognized path, gradually ascending to the 3 Brethern Cairns and trig point. The path follows the route of the Southern Upland Way to the summit.
Spectacular panoramic views of the Borderland hills, from the Eildons round to the Ettrick and Yarrow valleys and on towards St Mary’s Loch. The hills of the Northumberland National Park can be viewed to the south.
