Craik Forest Wolfcleuch Waterfall Walking Route

Deep in the heart of Craik Forest is a stunning waterfall.

Craik Forest is 12 miles south of Hawick, travelling past Roberton and on to Craik village. Ample parking is well signposted to the left before the houses at Craik.

This trail follows a forest track gently ascending the hill, roughly following the red walking route. Travelling through mature, moss-clad Norway spruce trees, a favourite habitat of the red squirrel.

Uneven grass and earth paths with some muddy sections. Some steep slopes. Includes a bridge and section of boardwalk. This does involve a bit of a scramble, but well worth it for a view of the waterfall.
