A Circular Hill walk from Hawick on tarmac roads and grassland, ascending past Hawick’s Wellogate cemetery. Hardies Hill can be reached following the track to your right. It is one of the seven trig points that surround Hawick, Panoramic views are the reward for the climb up Hardies Hill.
Go through the gap in the wall and follow the defined track to the foot of the hill, a jump over a small stream is required before taking the road on your left.
Ascending up the road before once more across grassland over the hill to Kaimend Farm, this part of the trail is well sign posted.
Back to the tarmac road down to where the stream was crossed, but this time following the stream to the Bridge at Crowbyres.
A steep climb to your right and you are on the track bed of the old Waverley Line, which brings you back to your starting point.
